Amy Savage was disqualified from owning animals for five years after a number of dogs were discovered living in a filthy and unsanitary environment, strewn with many hazardous items including broken glass, urine and dog faeces

An animal welfare officer from Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council visited the property Savage shares with her mother, Andrea Savage. An attending vet confirmed that the welfare of the animals was being compromised by the conditions in which they were being kept and the dogs were seized. They have since been rehomed.

Savage was found guilty of failing to ensure the welfare of dogs in her care and causing them unnecessary suffering. Andrea Savage was not prosecuted despite living at the same address.

Sentencing: ordered to pay fines and costs totalling £700. Banned from owning animals for five years (expires March 2026).

  1. Dogs can be a lot of work, you have to be prepared to put the time and commitment in to keeping them properly.
    For Instance: if you are working and not always at home, you will need a secure garden and shelter, and a Non Spill Bowl Of Water until you get home.

  2. Total disgrace, partying with her boyfriend must have took priority over caring for her dogs, why have them if you treat them like that, animals depend on you for everything
