CONVICTED (2024) | wildlife criminals Dean Northage, born 25 April 1995, of 5 Herrick Drive, Worksop S81 0EP, and brothers Sparky-Joe Bradford, born 4 July 2006, and Billy Bradford, born 12 December 2001, both of Cross Street, Langold, Worksop S81 – for deer poaching.
The trio, who are travellers, are banned from entering Leicestershire with a dog after pleading guilty to offences under the Deer Act.
They were charged with taking a deer at night after the animal was found in the rear of a vehicle stopped by Lincolnshire Police in Dry Doddington on January 7, 2024..
Under the terms of a 10-year Criminal Behaviour Order, they must not enter Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Northamptonshire or Nottinghamshire between 1 August and 30 April with, or in the company of anyone with, dogs of any breed.
They must also not be in any of those five counties with any instruments to be used for poaching, such as lamps or thermal cameras, either in the day or night-time.
A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, will be sentenced for the same offence at a later date.
