CONVICTED (2024) | Storm Williams, born c. 2002, most recently of Glover Road, Sutton Coldfield but with links to the Aston area of Birmingham – beat a bulldog puppy to death then brutally attacked RSPCA inspector

RSPCA prosecution of Storm Williams from Sutton Coldfield who subjected a young dog to multiple beatings, causing fatal injuries.

Storm Williams, a convicted Class A drug dealer, repeatedly took his young dog Major to the PDSA in 2022 with a number of concerning injuries and conditions.

The puppy had wounds on his head and front leg while his neck, head, eyes and ears were swollen and he was unable to stand. The puppy was hospitalised before being given back to the defendant who returned to the vets on October 1 that year.

Major was left blind and had broken cheekbones after enduring multiple vicious attacks at the hands of Storm Williams. The puppy was euthanised to end his suffering.

This time Major was lethargic and vomiting as Williams claimed boxes had fallen on him. It was discovered the puppy was left blind by his injuries.

Then on October 28 the defendant contacted the PDSA again saying the puppy had been attacked by another dog and was unresponsive.

The vet found he was comatose with a floppy head, with what appeared to be a burn injury as well as blood in his ear and a swollen throat. X-rays revealed his broken cheeks which had been caused between 20 to 30 days earlier.

Williams was ultimately prosecuted but in July 2023 he attacked an RSPCA inspector outside Birmingham Crown Court following a case management hearing. The officer suffered a fractured jaw, nose, eye socket and broken teeth as well as extensive blood loss.

A member of the public came to the aid of the victim who was left unconscious on the ground outside court. Williams has previously been jailed for nine years for the attack.

Judge Peter Cooke said: “This was an egregious breach of normal behaviour when interacting with an animal. Animals which look to us for love and care. This puppy didn’t receive that. He was treated abominably and you didn’t just injure your pet, you severely injured an RSPCA inspector too.”

An RSPCA spokeswoman added: “This was a particularly distressing case to deal with as poor Major suffered such repeated horrendous pain and suffering during his short life and not the love and protection he deserved. This kind of behaviour has no place in an animal loving society such as ours, and will always be thoroughly investigated by our dedicated teams of officers.

“Our dedicated staff should never be subjected to abuse and violence while working hard to improve the lives of animals.”

Sentencing | 18 month custodial concurrent with nine-year prison sentence. Banned from keeping pets for 15 years.

  1. Absolutely vile excuse of a human being! People like this have no respect for human life so they’d view animals as totally disposable. 9 years is definitely not long enough to keep this monster away from us all. I hope his Momma is very proud for raising such a pillar of society!

    He should be shot!

    RIP beautiful Major 🌈🐾
