Watts, whose ‘fighting’ name is Gord Killer Watts or ‘The Swan’, admitted a string of offences including breaching a restraining order, beating an ex partner and causing unnecessary suffering to a dog. He also threatened to disclose sexual images of a second woman, who was just 17 years old.

He was jailed at Caernarfon Crown Court for a total of two years and two months.

The court heard Watts, had been made subject to a four-year restraining order not to contact the victim. But in April he tricked his way into her flat.

Prosecutor Joshua Gorst said Watts stormed in with a bottle of wine and became irate. He called his former partner a “slag” and was angry. He also repeatedly punched her dog in the head until the animal bled.

His former partner tried to intervene then fled to a bedroom but Watts followed and assaulted her and spat at her. She rang 999 at 11.20pm and although the call was abandoned police traced the location and rushed to it.

The former partner had left with the dog but Watts was found hiding in her flat. In a victim statement she said she felt like “her head had been run over by a bus”.

She had purple bruises and was sore, said Mr Gorst. She said she felt Watts was obsessed with her.

She said: “I honestly feel if he is released he will kill me… I just want to feel safe in my own home” but she is terrified of the defendant.

She said: “You never get a nice Gordon. Things are always negative with him.

“This makes me feel down. I want to move on with my life.”

She added that she is afraid to leave her house as even while shopping for food “people approach me because he’s (on remand) in prison and I called the police. (But) I was subjected to violence. I did the right thing and called the police,” she wrote in her statement.

The court also heard about further offending by Watts on a 17-year-old girl in February 2021. Watts pushed her against a wall and grabbed her by the throat.

He also threatened to post a photo of her in her underwear online. When police were called they found he had cannabis.

In her statement, the young woman – now aged 20 – who cannot be named to protect her anonymity, said she felt like a prisoner when she was the victim.

Watts, who is originally from Llandudno, read a letter over video link from HMP Berwyn in Wrexham. He said he was “disappointed with myself”. He said he has ADHD and turned to alcohol which affected his “thoughts and actions”.

Sentencing, Judge Timothy Petts told Watts that he is a “high-risk” individual.

Sentencing | jailed for two years for breaching the restraining order; six-month and two-month concurrent sentences for assault causing her ABH and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, the dog, respectively. Consecutive two-month jail term for threatening to disclose private sexual photographs and film with intent to cause distress. There was no separate penalty for possession of the cannabis. No mention of a ban on keeping animals.
