Local authority prosecution of Blyth animal abuser Callum Fuller for cruelty to a Jack Russell called Rez.

Fuller was prosecuted by Northumberland County Council in relation to a Jack Russell terrier named Rez.

Animal welfare officers visited Fuller in March 2023 following a tip-off, where they found Rez to be underweight with his ribs and spine showing, stained with urine, and foul-smelling.

Loving life: Rez was nursed back to health by Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK) and rehomed.

His nails were overgrown, he was suffering from hair loss and fleas, and his ears were very scabby and ripped at the ends.

Officers seized Rez and took him to a vet where he was given a body score of just two out of five.

In court, Fuller admitted causing unnecessary suffering to the animal and was given a TWO-year ban applicable to dogs only.
