CONVICTED (2024) | paedophile Matthew Pritchard, born c. 1989, of Clist Road, Bettws, Newport NP20 7TA – convicted of unspecified animal cruelty in alongside child grooming charges.
Pritchard was arrested in January 2024 after travelling to Swindon to meet what he believed was a girl aged under 13.
Instead, he was met by police officers who had been working with the undercover Online Investigations Team at the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit.
Pritchard pleaded guilty one charge of animal cruelty in relation to his pet dog alongside five sexual offences.
The unnamed dog has been happily rehomed.
Sentencing | four years in prison. No mention of a ban.
