Rusher was found guilty, alongside partner David Ebsworth aka David Clarke, of failing in their duty to ensure the welfare of an animal.

The couple failed to ensure five cats and a terrapin were provided with a suitable environment, a suitable diet, and failing to ensure the animals exhibited normal behaviour patterns while living in Abingdon.
