CONVICTED (2019) | Andrew Lee Jones, born 8 March 1981, of Ynscynon Road, Tonypandy CF40 2LN – kicked and killed a seagull.
A driver witnessed Jones kicking the bird before finding it dead on 1 May 2019.
An RSPCA appeal resulted in CCTV showing the incident being provided by the council.
Jones pleaded guilty to one offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison.
RSPCA inspector Simon Evans thanked the witness for coming forward, adding: “This horrific incident was also caught on CCTV where the defendant was seen kicking the bird and using his foot to direct it into a corner of the car park.
“The bird had sustained other injuries before this attack – however, a post-mortem examination found that it would have been the blunt trauma injuries from the defendant’s kick that would have been the most likely cause of death.
“There is no excuse for this kind of deliberate cruelty.”
Sentencing: Jailed for 12 weeks. Ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115.

Ridiculous argument. There are so many fat kids around nowadays maybe the seagulls are doing them a favour. That prison sentence is well deserved and should be even longer. Many animal abusers will have no issue with hurting other humans because violence and cruelty are in their nature.
What a stupid thing to say, since when are a charity responsible for paying for what wild birds do. And to condone the kicking to death of a bird makes you an absolute prick!

There is no excuse for what this man has done , absolute sickening, but who ever got this information has it wrong ! His name is not Andrew stitch Jones it’s Andrew lee jones and he was born in March not April so could have got the facts right I don’t condone what he’s done as it cruel and disgusting behaviour being an animal lover myself although I don’t like segulls I wouldn’t hurt then but please remember he has children who have to go to school and get tortured about this as it’s all over Facebook it’s those innocent children I feel for ????
Actions have consequences. Andrew Lee Jones should have thought about that before killing a helpless creature, who was just trying to survive like everyone else on this planet of ours. Stitch is his nickname (he has two FB accounts in this name). His mother posted that her son’s birthday was in April.

He probably shouldn’t have given the court their address as his own then, as that’s the one that was published in the paper and they’re also on the electoral roll which we subscribe to. We elected not to include a house no. because we suspected he didn’t actually live there.
